E1 Project
SBP worked closely with long-standing client BML and their tenant to design and construct a purpose-built facility that would double the tenant’s capacity in Brisbane. The warehouse and office facility was designed to suit the tenant’s unique needs including 5,715m² of temperature controlled warehousing with 13 separate temperature zones, 1,820 pallet capacity of SBP Australia’s specialised heavy-duty racking, complete cool chain integrity maintained via nine telescopic loading docks housed alongside fumigation facilities and 632m² of office space, all protected by advanced biometric security. The completed build includes 4,000m² of concrete hardstand for parking and expedient and safe delivery of fresh produce by the tenant.
Early involvement and a comprehensive design process ensured the tenant’s needs were understood and cost savings could be realised early with consideration of alternate materials and construction methods. SBP and BML worked collaboratively together with the tenant throughout handover to ensure a smooth transition into an operational facility, two weeks ahead of schedule.

“We recently secured the opportunity to increase our capacity at the Brisbane Markets through the construction and lease of a purpose built warehousing facility. SBP were appointed to lead the construction project which we were very supportive of. We have worked with the SBP team previously on smaller projects so we had a good understanding of how they manage projects. The execution of the planning, construction and handover stages was successfully managed, supported and delivered professionally, efficiently, collaboratively and with the highest level of work by the entire SBP team. We’re now positioned with a significant point of difference that allows us to exceed our customers expectations and continue on our growth journey thanks to the job SBP have done.”
